Mark presentation John's Jesus team presentation Students will work in teams and will present a well-researched reading of a portion of Mark 1-7 by using a critical methodology. Teams will give a 20 minute presentation that may take a variety of forms but must include an electronic student hand-out. Quality of Presentation 40 % Presentation was extremely organized, interesting, and easy to follow. Presentation fully informed audience about use of a specific critical methodology in interpreting a section in the Gospel of Mark. Students were given sufficient information to understand the critical method and the subsequent reading in the Gospel of Mark.	Poor Presentation was not organized. Information presented was not clear. Presentation did not help students understand the critical methodology nor its subsequent reading in a section of the Gospel of Mark.	Fair Presentation was fairly organized. Information presented was clear. Presentation did not sufficiently help students understand the critical methodology or its subsequent reading in a section of the Gospel of Mark.	Good Presentation was extremely organized. Information presented was clear and interesting. Presentation adequately helped students understand the critical methodology and its subsequent reading in a section of the Gospel of Mark.	Excellent Presentation was extremely organized, interesting, and easy to follow. Group members were able to answer most questions posed by professor and other students.	Poor Presentation was not clearly audible and hard to hear. Visual presentation was very disorganized and hard to read. Group members did not ask for questions and were unable to answer questions asked by other students or the professor. Group work 5 % Group members stayed on task in the time leading up to the presentation and asked questions when needed.	Poor Did not use time wisely when working together as a group. Group did not stay on task and did not work on project without constant prompting by professor.	Fair Needs improvement on how to use time wisely when working together in a group. Group basically stayed on task, but was not fully focused on project. Professor had to speak to the group to keep them on task or problem solve/do conflict resolution.	Good Used time wisely when working together in group. Group was focused on task. Asked questions when needed.	Excellent Group stayed on task the entire time leading up to the project. Group was organized and able to complete project.
Preparedness 15 % Students did not read from their slides or paper. They demonstrated knowledge of the subject area.	Poor Students did not seem prepared to present.	Fair Students seemed to be somewhat prepared but should have rehearsed more as a team.	Good Students seemed to be prepared but one person seemed to carry the success of the presentation.	Excellent Students showed that they were completely prepared and that they had rehearsed before the presentation. They demonstrated knowledge of the subject area.
Electronic student handout 10 % Group prepared a clear and informative elcetronic student handout. The handout was submitted on the due date.	Poor The group did not have an electronic student handout.	Fair The group had an electronic student handout but turned it in late.	Good The group turned in an electronic student handout on time but the handout lacked in content and organization.	Excellent Group prepared a clear and informative electronic student handout. The handout was submitted on the due date.
