No reference to the instructions or drawings. Parts of the roof are not covered with shingles. Shingles are bent and damaged. Staples are showing all over.

Mastered

Wood is burnt evenly for visual appeal. All exposed wood is protected with linseed oil.
Skilled

Wood has been burnt slightly unevenly. Some corner laps do not have linseed oil.
Competent

Wood has been to black in some spots, while others have been missed entirely. Very little oil has been used.
Learning

Burning is extremely uneven. Virtually no oil.
Appearance

Mastered

No staples or nails visible. Customization is creative, original, and consistent with overall style of cabin.
Project looks professional. Materials selected are near perfect.
Skilled

2 or 3 staples/nails visible. Customization is somewhat creative. Project looks sale worthy at a store. Some materials are defective.
Competent

Lots of staples/nails are visible. Customization is generic/common. Project is sale worthy at a garage sale. Lots of materials used are defective.
Learning

Staples/nails have blown out all over and are highly visible. Little or no customization. Not sale worthy. Virtually no effort has been made to make the project look good.
