Music performance rubric
	Not meeting expectations 1 pts	Working toward expectations 2 pts	Meeting expectations 3 pts	Exceeding expectations 4 pts
Cooperative group skills	Not meeting expectations Student is generally distracted and may be a distraction to the entire group process. Teacher reminds student continually about what is expected during group work.	Working toward expectations Student is on task and giving effort 50% of the time. Teacher frequently reminds student about what is expected during group work. Student regains focus sporadically.	Meeting expectations Student is on task and giving effort 80% of the time. Teacher gives an occasional reminder to student about what is expected during group work. After the reminder, the student regains focus.	Exceeding expectations Student is on task and giving effort 100% of the time. Teacher does not need to remind student about what is expected during group work. Demonstrates leadership skills.
Musical concepts	Not meeting expectations Student does not demonstrate inclusion of musical concepts as outlined in the project/performance expectations.	Working toward expectations Student demonstrates inclusion of one or two musical concepts as outlined in the project/performance expectations.
