Dribbling with the Hands

Dribbling Fingerpads used to dribble. Head and eyes up. Low, controlled dribble. Dribble with knees bent and ball "in the pocket."	Poor Seldom uses fingerpads to dribble the ball. Dribbles with head down, looking at the ball. Stands upright. Dribbles ball above waist height. Dribbles ball too close to feet or too far away from body to maintain control.	Fair Occasionally uses fingerpads to dribble the ball. Occasionally looks up while dribbling. Knees slightly bent, but occasionally standing up. Occasionally keeps dribble below waist height. Occasionally dribbles ball in the pocket (to the side and rear of body.)	Good Consistenly uses fingerpads to dribble the ball. Consistently looks up and around while dribbling a ball. Knees are often bent. Consistenly keeps ball dribble below waist height. Consistently dribbles ball to the side and rear of body (in the pocket.)	Above Average Consistently uses fingerpads to dribble while traveling. Keeps head up while traveling and dribbling. Knees are always bent while dribbling. Maintains a low dribble while traveling and dribbling. Keeps ball near body and in control while traveling and dribbling. Is able to use both hands.
