Monet Reflection and Computer Art Impressionism Painting
Students will be presented with a lesson teaching them about Claude Monet and Impressionism. Students must read excerpts from a book and also be able to follow directions given by the teacher. Students will then need to find a computer image and demonstrate their understanding of Impressionism through a painted visual art piece. Sabbeth, C. (2002). Needs Improvement
The student showed minimal or no understanding of Impressionism using very little texture, no lighting techniques, very few bright colors, and may or may not have used nature in their painting.

The student demonstrated exceptional art skills through the proper use of color, texture, light, and nature. The artwork was was well thought out, organized, and neat.

The student demonstrated some artistic skills through the proper use of color , texture, light and nature. The artwork was satisfactory in organization and neatness.
Needs Improvement
The student demonstrated little or no artistic skills through the use of color, light and nature. There was very little skill applied through the artwork. Artwork was poorly organized and presentation was not neat.

The student actively participated in the reading and learning activities without causing disruption. During painting times, the student was quiet and concentrated on their artwork. The student worked well with peers and used and cleaned all classroom tools appropriately.

The student participated in the reading and learning activities with minimal disruption. During painting time, the student was quiet and concentrating on their artwork with reminders. Student worked well with peers and needed little help to use and clean classroom tools appropriately.
Needs Improvement
The student was disruptive during the reading and learning activities. The student needed several reminders to concentrate on their artwork. The student was not cooperative with teacher or peers and may or may not have used and cleaned the classroom tools appropriately.
