Exceeds Basic Standards Ideas moderately address the question(s) asked; some thoughts are clear and detailed; there is some insight; paragraph is cohesive.	Minimally Meets Standards Ideas minimally address the question(s) asked; thoughts are muddy or insufficiently supported; paragraph is lacking clarity and cohesiveness.	Approaches Standards Ideas go off topic or are not supported; lacking clarity and detail; paragraph lacks insight and/or support.	Incomplete or Undeveloped Assignment is incomplete or does not address the question(s) asked; paragraph is undeveloped and unsupported.
Mechanics and Fluency	Exemplary Writing is fluent, and interesting to read; paragraph is to the point, with strong and varied sentence structure, and is free of spelling and grammatical errors.
