Work is poorly executed, attention not given to application or technique of medium. Hard to distinguish what the image is.
Fair

Work is executed adequately. Animal image is discernible, but colors are not mixed or applied with thought for effect.
Good

Work is executed beautifully. Colors and application of medium is thoughtfully used.
SELF EXPRESSION, ORIGINALITY

Poor

Artwork does not demonstrate any exploration of the medium or pursuance of an idea. Student did not show interest in trying something new
Fair

Portions of the artwork show an attempt to explore a medium or get across an idea. Student began to get interested in the process and product.
Good

The Artwork demonstrates an originality and pursuance of an idea or concept.
SHOWS KNOWLEDGE OF PRINCIPLES AND

Poor

When asked student could not identify any areas where the principles and elements of art were applied or affected the outcome of the artwork.
Fair

Student had a rudimentary understanding of the Elements and Principles of Art and how they functioned within their artwork even if they were there inadvertently.
Good

Student deliberately designed their artwork with many of the Elements and Principles of Art in mind.
