Students will make project that shows an understanding of 7 story elements and relates them to a chosen story.

Pproject only has 3-4 elements of plot. Only contains 2-3 definitions and the elements are only loosely tied to the story.

The poster includes all seven elements of plot, but they are not all defined and/or applied to the story.
Exceeds
The project includes all seven elements of plot, their definitions and demonstrates understanding by applying them to the chosen story.
Work quality/effort
Poor
Work is done with little effort, quality is not what the learner is capable of. It is evident that the work was rushed and little time was spent on the final product. Work is incomplete.
Fair
Work is done with fair effort, but the quality is still not what the learner is capable of. It is evident that the work was rushed.
Good
The work was done with good effort that shows what the learner is capable of. It is evident that time was put into this poster and presentation.
Exceeds
The work done exceeds all expectations and shows that the learner is proud of his/her work. The effort that was put into this task is the best it can be by the learner.
Creativity
Poor
Lacks original artwork. Not students own drawing/writing. Not good use of space on poster. Messy. Lacks color, texture.
Fair
Not very appealing. Limited use of creative materials. Not alot of color/shapes/design. Includes 3 or less pictures.
Good
Colorful, no graphic and only includes 4 pictures.
Exceeds
Eye catching. Great use of colors. Includes 5 or more pictures, uses at least one graphic. Student put time into creating an interesting presentation.
Format/presentation
Poor
Submitted late.
Fair
Project was submitted later than original due date. Project is not easy to follow or read.
Good
Project is clean and neatly displayed. Most of the project is easy to read but some parts are not. Submitted on due date.
Exceeds
Project is of exceptional quality and presentation. Project is turned on time. Slides are very easy to read.
