Writing: Short Story Writing: Short Story Upon completion of in-class practice of identifying and writing short stories that contain the main parts of a story, the learner will be able to effectively write and identify what components make up a story through descriptive details. Proficiency Level The story is pretty well organized. Most events occur in sequential order. Some aspects of beginning, middle, and/or end are not as developed as they could be.	Introductory Level The story is not well organized. Most events do not occur in sequential order. Many aspects of the beginning, middle, and/or end are missing.	No demonstration Student fails to meet minimum unit objectives
Originality/Creativity	Mastery Level Writing shows evidence of student thinking and creativity. The story is new and original and well thought out.	Proficiency Level Writing shows some evidence of student thinking and creativity. Most story events are new and original.
