Proportion Enter description	Novice Student's drawing does not reflect the proportions the observed object.	Developing Student's drawing shows some understanding of the proportions of the object.	Proficient Student's drawing demonstrates an understanding of the majority of the proportions of the observed object.	Exceeds Student's drawing reflects careful observation of the proportions of the object studied.
Comparative Measure Sizes of Shapes and Comparative Relationships	Novice Student's drawing does not reflect size relationships of the parts and shapes of the observed object.	Developing Student's drawing reflects some understanding of the size relationships of the parts and shapes of the observed object.	Proficient Student's drawing demonstrates an understanding of the most size relationships of the observed object.	Exceeds Student's drawing utilizes careful observation of the sizes relationship of the perts and shapes of the object studied.
Study of object charateristics (ex: portrait with charateristics of facial features)	Novice Student includes little or no detail to describe the object visually.	Developing Student includes some minor details to describe object visually.	Proficient Student work depicts an understanding of knowledge of object details.	Exceeds Student work represents carefully studied detail and knowledge of subject matter. Drawing may include value.
