Fair The introduction does not clearly state the main idea of the paper and is not inviting to the reader.	Poor There is no main idea for the paragraph.
Sentences	Very Good The student wrote 5 sentences about the most important educational technology.	Good The student wrote 4 sentences about the most important educational technology.	Fair The student wrote 2-3 sentences about the most important educational technology.	Poor The student wrote 1 sentence about the most important educational technology.
Closing Sentence	Very Good The closing sentence is strong.	Good The closing sentence is recognizable but does not tie up loose ends.	Fair The closing sentence is recognizable, but doesn't tie up all of the loose ends.	Poor There is no closing sentence and the paragraph just ends.
