Characterization	Poor Neither the writing nor the art seems to really appeal to the character chosen	Fair The writing and art might be able to apply to the character but there is nothing shows that the character chosen is obvious.	Good The writing and art in the journal make it obvious which character was chosen for the assignment.
Written entries	Poor The length of the entries was not met and the writing had nothing to do with the story or what happened to the character.	Fair The length of the entries was meant part of the time and the writing did not seem to focus on the story or what the character might be thinking.	Good The length of the entries was met and the writing does focus on the story and what the character may be thinking or feeling.
Artwork	Poor The pictures in the journal have nothing to do with the story.	Fair Some of the pictures apply to the story and some do not.	Good All of the pictures are relevant to the story.
