Creativity	Poor No thought was given to the overall layout and design.	Fair Very little thought was given to the overall layout and design.	Good The position of the hand and background has some creativity but more should have been used	Excellent The student obviously considered the layout and design of the piece. The message being communicated is interesting, the background adds to the overall piece.
Craftmanship	Poor No attention to detail apparent.	Fair Very little attention to detail apprarent.	Good Good attention to detail, but parts of the hand are disproportionate.	Excellent Excellent attention to detail, the entire hand was proportionate
Blending Technique	Poor No blending used.	Fair Very little blending used.	Good Blending was good, but needed more, or blending was sloppy.	Excellent Excellent blending techniques used, helping to make the piece look more realistic.
Realistic Quality	Poor No blending, shading, or shadow, only line was used and so has no realistic qualities.	Fair Very realistic qualities are apparent.	Good The hand does look like a real hand, but more blending or attention to detail is needed to look more realistic.	Excellent Extremely realistic, the piece looks like a "photograph" of a hand
