	Poor 0 pts	Fair 1 pts	Good 2 pts
inferring meaning from context	Poor Student gives no answer. Student gives wrong meaning	Fair Student gives correct meaning but makes spelling or grammatical mistakes.	Good Student gives correct meaning and makes no spelling or grammatical mistakes.
pronoun reference	Poor Student leaves answer blank. Student selects an extraneous part of a sentence as a referent. Student gives a long stretch of discourse containing the answer.	Fair Student gives correct referent but makes 1-2 spelling or grammatical mistakes. Student gives the correct referent that contains an extraneous word.	Good Student gives exact referent with no spelling or grammatical mistakes.
outlining	Poor extraneous or incomplete topics/subtopic/detail. Incomplete topic/ subtopic/detail. Correct topic/subtopic/detail but the student makes 2 or more grammatical and/or spelling mistakes	Fair Topic subtopic or detail has an extra word/phrase or it has 1 spelling or grammatical mistake.	Good Topic, subtopic or detail is accurate with no spelling or grammatical mistakes.
