The project on one power point using fonts that are clear and easy to read. The abbrev., name, and atomic number will be typed in 36 pt. min. The powerpoint will have the following info. arranged in a visually appealing manner: name origin, year discovered, # of natural & radioactive isotopes, state, melting & boiling points in ºC, combining ability, uses/products, and common compounds.
The student will present the element and information to the class.
The project should be turned in on time and be neat. Students will lose 10 points per day day for late projects.
A picture depicting a use, the discoverer, a hazard, or some other relationship to the element will be inserted. Additional information is given to enhance the powerpoint and knowledge of the element.
