Level 2

Shows some understanding of the required concepts in the unit with minor errors of omissions. Uses processing skills and strategies with some effectiveness.
Level 3

Shows understanding of most required concepts in the unit with a few errors or omissions. Uses processing skill and strategies with considerable effectiveness.
Level 4

Shows understanding of almost all or all of the required concepts in the unit with practically no errors of omissions. Uses processing skills and strategies with a high degree of effectiveness.
Active Participation

Level of active participation, fitness, fairplay, safety and living skills including decision making, problem solving, conflict resolution and goal setting.

Level 1

Participates actively only with consistent encouragement from the teacher or other students. The student requires constant reminders regarding safety procedures. The student applies very few of the required skills.
Level 2

Participates actively needing only occasional encouragement from the teacher or other students. The student occasionally requires reminders regarding safety procedures. The student is able to apply some of the required skills.
Level 3

Participates actively with no encouragement from the teacher or other students in the class. The student follows safety procedures consistently and applies most of the required skills.
Level 4

Participates actively and in a manner that motivates other students to get involved. The student follows safety procedures and encourages other student to do so as well. The student also applies almost all or all required skills.
Communication of Required Knowledge

Using oral and written skills students demonstrate what they have learned and express their opinions.

Level 1

Communicates poorly with many errors and omissions. Rarely uses appropriate terminology. Transfers knowledge and skills with limited effectiveness.
Level 2

Communicates with some clarity with some errors and omissions. Sometimes uses appropriate terminology. Transfers knowledge and skills with some effectiveness.
Level 3

Communicates clearly making few errors and omissions. Usually uses appropriate terminology. Transfers knowledge and skills with considerable effectiveness.
Level 4

Communicates clearly making no or almost no errors and omissions. Almost always using appropriate terminology. Transfers knowledge and skills with a high degree of effectiveness.
