Question/Purpose	Excellent Identified their testable question and a short summary of their test and gained audiance interest.	Good Identified testable question and summarized test but failed to attempt to gain audiance interest.	Fair Identified question only.	Poor Indentified question but was not phrased correctly or did not make sense.
Research	Excellent Identified important points of their research that helped to create and support their hypothesis. Points contained relevent scientific concepts.	Good Summary of reserach was given but did not highlight the relevent scientific concepts in their research.	Fair Summary of research did not help predict or explain what would happen in the experiment.	Poor Resrach was not done or was not related to the experiment.
Hypothesis	Excellent Stated hypothesis in an if then statment and included a very brief explanation for their prediction based upon research.	Good Hypothesis was stated correctly with no explanation or an explanation that was not supported by research.	Fair Hypothesis is stated but incorrectly.	Poor No hypothesis of hte hypothesis made no real prediction.
Results	Excellent Results are displayed using charts, graphs or other graphical means. Results are summarized clearly.	Good Graphical displays are given but were not summarized.	Fair Graphical displays of data collected are represented incorrectly, but results are summarized.	Poor Incorrect use of graphical displays and did not summarize results.
Conclusion	Excellent Gives a detailed explanation why their hypothesis was correct or incorrect and relates it to both their results and their research	Good Conclusion does not relate back to research but includes results and whether their hypothesis was correct or not.	Fair Conclusion only states if hypothesis was correct or not with no explanation	Poor Conclusion is not present or doesn't make sense.
Presentation	Excellent Seems confortable with information, doesn't read from visual aide while maintaining eye contact.	Good Comfortable with information but seems less prepared by not maintaining eye contact.	Fair Student does not seem prepared and continually references visual aid for guidance (reads from paper)	Poor Student does not make an effort to be professional.
