Organisms 
The students will develop a poster or a shoebox sized diorama depicting one plant and one animal found in the _______________ habitat. The project will contain the following information: Picture and name of the plant and animal, at least three things that the habitat provides that help the organisms survive within that habitat. The student will orally explain the things that the habitat provides that enable the plant and animal to survive.

Work is done with fair effort, but the quality is still not what the learner is capable of. Quality of work seems rushed.

Work is done with little effort, quality is not what the learner is capable of. It is evident that the work was rushed and little time was spent on the project. Work is incomplete.
Style/Mechanics

Exceeds

The project shows creativity and style, and is not a list of facts. The poster is presented in a clear and concise manner with no mistakes.
Good

The project is clear and logical and contains facts as well as very few mistakes.
Fair

The project lacks style and reads like a list of facts. The project lacks neatness and clarity, exhibiting a few mistakes.
Poor

The project lacks a clear understanding of the assignment and contains many errors. Poster is not creative.
Presentation

Exceeds

The student speaks clearly and presents the material in a way that other students can clearly understand. Material is well practiced.
Good

The student speaks clearly and presents the material in a way that can mostly understand. Material has been practiced somewhat.
Fair

There are several confusing moments when other students did not understand the information. It is evident the student has not practiced what is to be said.
Poor

No preparation was done for the presentation and the other students are not able to understand the information that is presented.
