Students read straight from cards or the slide and struggle to explain what their material is about. Students don't have any outside material or cannot answer questions logically.
Average

Students can explain material from memory without having to read from notes or cards that often. Students do have outside material but cannot relate it to slide. Students struggle to answer questions.
Good

Student is able to explain material on slide without reading it from notes or the slide. Student has material from an outside source and is able to clearly answer questions asked.
Slides

Needs Improvement

Text is hard to read and slide contains little or to much information. Slides do not contain any pictures or captions don't fit the slide. Slide does not include a video
Average

Text is not easily read and slide has to much text on it. Pictures don't have captions. Stduent video isn't within the 2-5 minute time frame or doesn't fit with material
Good

Text can be read easily and spaced out so that slide isn't cluttered. Slide contains pictures with captions. Student also include a video that is 2-5 minutes long.
Presentation

Needs Improvement

Only one or two members of the group speak during the presentation. The group doesn't relate the material to any other topics from history. Students speak very softly or to loud, and don't maintain any eye contact with the crowd. Presenation is more then 2 minutes to short or to long.
Average

Not all group members take an active part in the presentation. The audience isn't given a chance to ask questions. The group doesn't show a relation between the material or foreshadow. Students struggle to use a good speaking voice and maintain eye contact. Presentation is just short or a little longer then 10-12 minutes.
Good

All students are involved in presentation and talk at some point. Students periodically ask the audience questions, and give us a relation between the material and someting else, or use it to foreshadow. Students speake loudly and maintain good eye contact with audience. Presentation last between 10-12 minutes.
