Content	Poor Contains half or less of the main points.	Fair Contains most of the main points.	Good Contains all of the main points.	Excellent Contains all the main points and adds outside information
Description	Poor Does not elaborate on points well, or ignores prompt	Fair Gives a general description of the points with one or more factual errors	Good Gives a full description of the points, but has minor factual errors	Excellent Full description with no factual errors
Flow	Poor Essay is difficult to read. Words are misused and language is immature.	Fair Essay is readable but is choppy at places. Some words are misused and language is somewhat immature.	Good Essay is easy to read and flows well. Words are used correctly and language is age-appropriate	Excellent Enjoyable to read. Shows understanding of the concept of diction.
