Fluency with Familiar Poem
	Poor 1 pts	Fair 2 pts	Good 3 pts	Exceeds 3.5 pts
Accuracy	Poor Student reads the poems with an accuracy level below 80%.	Fair Student reads te poem with an accuracy level between 80% and 90%.	Good Student reads the poem with an accuracy level of between 90% and 94%.	Exceeds Student reads gthe poem with an accuracy level of 95% or greater.
Flow and Rhythm	Poor Reading is segmented to the point that it interferes with the listeners ability to extract the meaning of the poem.	Fair The flow of the reading is generally good reflecting knowledge of flow and punctuation use. However, more than 2 noticeable errors occur.	Good The flow of the reading mimics conversation and reflects basic knowledge of how punctuation affects the flow of reading.	Exceeds The flow and rhythm of the reading mimics conversation and the student has a comprehensive knowledge of how punctuation works as evidenced by appropriate pauses at punctuation marks.
Volume	Poor Student's voice is barely audible.	Fair Volume is inconsistent. At times the level is appropriate and easily heard, however at times it is difficult to hear.	Good Volume is at an appropriate level and listeners can easily hear the presented material.	Exceeds Volume is at an appropriate level and listeners can easily hear the presented material. Students volume fluctuates when appropriate.
Rate	Poor Student reads at a rate below 52 WPM.	Fair Student reads at a rate of 53-81 WPM.	Good Student reads at a rate of 82 - 109 WPM.	Exceeds Student reads at a rate of 110 WPM or higher
