Creative Writing- ABC's of St. Augustine Students will use facts that they have gathered during a field trip to St. Augustine to write an ABC book. A fact will be described for each letter of the alphabet with pictures drawn for each letter to illustrate the fact. Weekly Requirements 100 % ABC's of St. Augustine Book
	Poor The student has not met the requirements as assigned. 1 pts	Fair The student has done a fair job of meeting the requirements as assigned. 2 pts	Good The student has done a good job of meeting the requirements as assigned. 3 pts
Sloppy Copy 25 % The student will brainstorm a fact for each letter of the alphabet and draw a sketch to illustrate the fact.	Poor 2 or fewer letters and drawings are completed on the assigned due date.	Fair 3 or fewer letters and drawings are completed on the assigned due date.	Good 4 letters and drawings are completed on the assigned due date.
Rough Draft 25 % The student will write a fact for each assigned letter of the alphabet in complete sentences.	Poor 5 or more corrections in grammar, sentence structure, and or punctuation are required.	Fair 3 or more corrections in grammar, sentence structure, and or punctuation are required.	Good 1 or less corrections in grammar, sentence structure, and or punctuation are required.
Final Copy 50 % The students will write a fact for each letter of the alphabet and draw a picture to illustrate the fact.	Poor Some letters of the alphabet are written in a special font. The facts are written with some mistakes. The illustrations are incomplete.	Fair Each letter of the alphabet is written legibly in a special font. The facts are written legibly with no mistakes. The illustrations are complete.	Good Each letter of the alphabet is written neatly in a special font. The facts are written neatly with no mistakes. The illustrations are complete and detailed.
