Ideas	Poor Ideas are expressed with little or no detail. Ideas are not complete.	Fair Ideas are expressed with some detail but are general and vague.	Good Ideas are expressed with great detail and are specific and clear.
Topic	Poor Student does not follow topic requirements.	Fair Student follows topic requirements somewhat but does not stay on topic consistly. Topic is not clear.	Good Student follows topic requirements consistently and topic is clear.
Historical Consciousness	Poor It is not evident that student is informed of or aware of the history of the time and the reasons for going to war.	Fair Student portrays some awareness and knowledge of the history and reasons for going to war but there are some gaps.	Good Student portrays awareness and knowledge of the history of the time and the reasons for going to war.
