Fair The student is able to explain why the machine that they have created is useful for themselves. The project is 3 dimensional and does not fall apart.	Good The student can convince his or her audience that the machine that he or she has created is something that is necessary for all people to have. The project is 3-D and eye-catching and the parts can be moved to demonstrate how it functions.
Creativity	Poor The machine that the student is representing is one of the machines that were discussed in this unit.	Fair The machine that is created is one that has already been created but has been modified by the student to create a different machine and serves a different function.	Good The student created an original machine that helps people do work.
Oral Presentation	Poor The student read the information from their project.	Fair The student can explain their machine.	Good The student is able clearly explain the machine that they have created and the machines that were used to create it.
Written report	Poor The student included a paper with their project.	Fair The student wrote at least two paragraphs and cited sources that were used for their research.	Good The student has three legible paragraphs with 5 or more sentences explaining their machine and it functions. The student cited resources that were used for information obtained during the creation of their project.
