Creating A Hero Creating A Hero Students create the story of their own hero. This hero must be able to solve 5 personal problems and 5 world problems with their abilities. Hero Creator Picture	Poor No picture or the picture does not show the hero's abilities or characteristics.	Fair The picture shows the hero's basic abilities.	Good The picture demonstrates the hero's abilities very well.	Advanced The picture is has many details and goes beyond what was required.
Type of Hero	Poor The words don't describe the hero well.	Fair The words give a basic description of the hero.	Good The words describe the hero well and in detail.	Advanced The writing describes an in-depth image of the hero and his/her abilities.
Hero Abilities	Poor The abilities of the hero are not related to the problems to be solved.	Fair The abilities of the hero are somewhat related to the problems to be solved.	Good The abilities of the hero are able to solve all of the problems described.	Advanced The abilities of the hero go above and beyond the problems to be solved. Extra detail and interesting characteristics have been added.
Plot Structure	Poor The story doesn't demonstrate well how the problems are solved.	Fair The story shows somewhat how the problems are solved.	Good The story demonstrates well how the problems are solved.	Advanced The story shows many details and interesting ways in which the problems are solved.
Creativity	Poor The ways in which the problems are solved are basic.	Fair The ways in which the problems are solved are adequate.	Good The ways in which the hero solves problems are really inventive.	Advanced The ways in which the problems are solved are beyond creative and inventive.
