DNA Candy Model Students will successfully build DNA replica model out of candy.

Participation Student participated and was engaged the ENTIRE class period.	Low Beginner All members DID NOT participate equally in the design, construction and presentation process. Group did not request any help.	Beginner All members of the group participated equally in the design, construction and presentation process.Ss asked questions, although some questions were off topic. Teacher help was needed.	Intermediate All members of the group participated equally in the design, construction and presentation process. Ss asked thoughtful questions. Construction Care was take with the model and all components were present for the final grading.	Low Beginner Construction appears careless and haphazard. Many details need refinements for a strong or attractive product. S did not request any help.	Beginner Ss tried to carefully construct their model, but some details could have been refined for a more attractive product. Ss needed guidance in following instructions.	Intermediate Construction was careful and accurate, but 1-2 details could have been refined for a more attractive product. Ss were able to follow instructions with some help.	Advanced Great care taken in construction process so that the structure is neat, attractive. Ss were able to follow instructions accurately.
Scientific Knowledge Genetic Science worksheet demonstrates understanding of the DNA molecule.	Low Beginner Individual worksheet demonstrates little understanding of the vocabulary. S attempted to fill in a few answers but left most of the worksheet blank.	Beginner Individual worksheet demonstrates beginner knowledge in using the vocabulary. S attempted to fill in the entire worksheet, but made 2-4 errors, including leaving certain answers blank.
