PATTERN STUDY Creative Dance Peer Evaluation Students will listen to a piece of music and draw out their reaction on paper. The drawing will be examined and the student will then choose their favorite portion of the visual art piece to use as a pathway for them to create a dance. Using the Dance Concepts hand out, this rubric and their over-all creativity for ideas and elements, students are challenged to create a small solo study. Space	NOT SO GOOD Dancer uses only one level of space and stays on the same pathway. Their pathway didn't seem to match their drawing at all.	ALRIGHT Dancer uses only two levels of space and some interesting pathways. Their pathway sometimes seemed to match their drawing.	GREAT Dancer uses all three levels of space and several interesting pathways. Their pathway clearly matched their drawing
Time	NOT SO GOOD The dancer used only one speed of motion and never changed.	ALRIGHT The dancer used mostly one speed of motion and only changed a few times.	GREAT The dancer uses a variety of fast, medium and slow motions and showed those changes clearly and often.
Force	NOT SO GOOD There is no energy within the movement. Choice of movements reveal little thought and are not convincing.	ALRIGHT Movements have some energy within them.
