Summary Enter criteria description	Poor Contains many grammatical and spelling errors. Summary is overly brief and there are little to no supportive details.	Fair Contains some key details but no firm thesis statement. Has few gramatical and spelling errors. Supportive details exist but are bland or not completely related to the topic.	Good Summary is well written and brief, but does not lack supportive details. It also contains few to no grammatical/ spelling errors.
Reader Response Enter criteria description	Poor There is no READER RESPONSE or only a single generalized line/ question.	Fair The Reader Response has only generalized ideas and questions. May only contain 2 or 3 lines at most.	Good Student poses interesting thought provoking questions and makes a connection to various characters/ plot lines et cetera. Not overly long but detailed none-the-less.
Format Enter criteria description	Poor Poorly constructed and messy appearance. Writing is fairly illegible. No title of book is mentioned- nor pg numbers.	Fair Writing and structure is ok, but not completely neat and professional. May contain a title and book numbers, but the book's name is not written in the correct format.	Good Has a professional or interesting appearance. Writing is legible and the book's title is properly cited. Pg numbers indicate which portion was read and quoted.
