Organization	Excellent It is very clear and concise and very easy to follow.	Above Average The essay is very organized and easy to read. It is clear and concise and easy to read.	Average There is organization to the essay. It is clear and concise and easy to read.	Below Average Little to no organization of the essay. Very hard to follow not clear and concise. Hard to read	Poor There is no organization of the essay. It is not easy to follow and not clear and concise. Very hard to read.
Examples	Excellent There are numerous examples to support the position and point being made. All examples have sources provided.	Above Average There are more than enough examples to support the students essay.	Average There are enough examples to support the students essay.	Below Average There are few example to support the students essay.	Poor There are no examples to support the students essay.
Adherence to Topic	Excellent The topic theme is apparent in the entire posting.	Above Average The topic is nearly always evident in the writing.	Average The topic is loosely apparent in the posting.	Below Average The topic is inconsistently followed in the posting.	Poor The topic is not followed in the posting in any adequate manner
Proper Usage	Excellent There are no spelling, punctuation, homonym, or English usage errors.	Above Average There are not more than TWO spelling, punctuation, homonym or usage errors.	Average The paper has THREE - FOUR spelling, punctuation, homonym or usage errors.	Below Average The writing has FIVE spelling, punctuation, homonym or usage errors.	Poor There are MORE THAN FIVE spelling, punctuation, homonym or usage errors.
