Identifies Important Information	4 Student responds appropriately to the guided note question and adds several details from the text to support his/her response.	3 Student responds appropriately to the guided note question and adds one or two details from the text to support his/her response.	2 Student responds appropriately to the guided note question but does not support his/her response with details from the text.	1 Student does not respond to the guided note question nor does the student support his/her response with details from the text.
Comprehension	4 Student uses 4-5 sentences to respond clearly to the guided note question.	3 Student uses 1-3 sentences to respond clearly to the guided note question.	2 Student writes several sentences in response to the guided note question , but has some slight misunderstanding	1 Student writes several sentences that are not in response to the guided note question , and shows misunderstanding of the text.
