Individual soccer Skills Assessment 
Students will be assessed on their overall ability and attitude toward the game of soccer. Students will be assessed on their performance of soccer skills and technique.

Dribbling the ball

Unsatisfactory

Student uses toes to kick the ball, does not have control and constantly chasing after the ball. When the ball is turned there is not control of the ball.
Developing

Student only dribbles with one foot and only uses one surface of their foot to dribble. When turning the ball has to stop it instead of using inside or outside of foot.
Satisfactory

Student uses both feet and shows they can dribble forward using an inside/outside pattern with their foot. When turing they use either the inside or outside of the foot.
Excellent

Student dribbles forward using all surfaces of their foot (inside,outside, bottom, & laces). When turning the ball they use inside or outside and accelerate after the turn.
Passing the ball to teammates

Unsatisfactory

Student passes the ball with their toe and ball does not reach their target.
Developing

Student passes the ball with the inside of their foot but it does not reach their partners foot.
Satisfactory

Student passes the ball to their partners foot. <BR>
They use the inside of their foot to pass and plants the opposite foot next to the ball.
Excellent

Student passes the ball to the partners foot. Student uses the inside of their foot. They can also accurately pass the ball using their laces or outside of the foot.
Receiving a pass from a teammate

Unsatisfactory

Student does not communicate with their partner and is flat on their feet. The ball bounces away and is not controlled with two touches
Developing

Student communicates they want a pass and receives the ball using the inside of the foot but has to control it with two touches.
Satisfactory

Student communicates with partner they want a pass and receives the ball with the inside of the foot under control in one touch.
Excellent

Student communicates they want a pass verbal or physically show where they want the pass and use inside of the foot, laces, or bottom of the foot to control the pass. The ball is controlled in one touch.
Shooting at target

Unsatisfactory

Student rarely or never demonstrate the use of right technique by striking the ball with laces, and placing the non dominant foot next to the ball
Developing

Student sometimes demonstrate the use of right technique by striking the ball with laces, and placing the non dominant foot next to the ball
Satisfactory

Student mostly demonstrate the use of right technique by striking the ball with laces, and placing the non dominant foot next to the ball
Excellent

Student always demonstrate the use of right technique by striking the ball with laces, and placing the non dominant foot next to the ball
