This rubric assesses the creative use of figurative language and ability to identify and exploit rhyming schemes and poetry styles. Students will create a rap battle utilizing authors, characters, sports teams, video games, etc. to battle each other revealing the opposing sides' traits, style, and using multiple figurative language techniques and ideas.
