Grading
	Beginning 2 pts	Developing 4 pts	Proficient 6 pts	Advanced 8 pts
Performs with sense of rhythm	Beginning Plays some of the selection with adequate rhythmic sense.	Developing Plays more than half of the selection with adequate rhythmic sense.	Proficient Plays almost all of the selection with good rhythmic sense.	Advanced Plays all of the selection with excellent rhythmic sense.
Progressions	Beginning Plays more than one chord.	Developing Plays multiple chords with long transitions in between. (Awkward silence.)	Proficient Plays multiple chords with little silence in between. (Plays next chord before measure is completed.)	Advanced Plays multiple chords with very little silence in between. (1-2 seconds)
Good Posture and Hand Position	Beginning Sits with head down, shoulders down and forward, arms resting on body, feet crossed, fully extended or not touching the floor, and back bent.	Developing Sits with the head down, shoulders down, and forward, arms lowered but not resting on the body, and back bent.	Proficient Sits with the head slightly down, shoulders slightly forward, arms lowered, wrists down, feet on the floor, and back straight, leaning on the chair.	Advanced Sits with the head up, shoulders back, arms out, feet on the floor, and back straight.
