Historical Critique of Hurston Essay
Role of Shylock Essay
From the perspective of a 1968 literary critic and Civil Rights activist, write an essay critiquing Hurston's 1928 essay "How It Feels To Be Colored Me". In your essay, discuss how her views on race and race relations are helpful / harmful to the Civil Rights movement's progress and evaluate the extent to which a well-known Civil Rights leader would agree with her.
