Student only plays when necessary, student always attempts despite difficulty of the material, student does not disrupt others, students shows evidence of home practice

Student has forgotten his or her instrument 2 or more times out of the week
Fair

Student has forgotten his or her instrument 1 time out of the week

Student has had instrument every day of the week and is in acceptable playing condition

Student has had instrument every day of the week and is in good playing condition
Posture
10 %

Good posture is required for proper tone

Poor

Student slouches in chair, does not hold horn up, does not sit on the edge of the chair
Fair

Student sometimes slouches, sometimes does not hold their horn up, sometimes sits on the edge of the chair
Acceptable

Student displays proper posture by sitting up and holds his or her horn the proper way
Exceeds Expectations

Student displays proper posture by sitting up, sitting on the edge of his or her chair, and holds his or her horn the proper way
