Quality of Thought	Excellent The introduction connects invitingly with the audience, clearly explains the thesis, and announces the structure of the paper.	Good The paper supports each individual claim, with relevant evidence or examples from reliable sources. The writer shows an understanding of some of what each claim implies.	Fair The issues raised are not discussed in enough depth to be meaningful.
Structure	Excellent The paper's organization is internally coherent, fits the thesis, and fulfills the structure promised in the introduction.	Good The argument is developed as a chain of reasoning, making progress in showing relationships between things and ideas.	Fair The paper does not argues concisely, does not avoid digressions and has needless repetition of ideas.
Sentence Strenght	Excellent The meaning of each sentence is clear. Sentences are built solidly and concisely placing the main idea in the main clause.	Good The meaning of each sentence is not always clear.	Fair Most sentences do not place the main idea in the main clause.
