Content	Excellent All of the content requirements were met. Each student has a minimum of 15 lines.	Good Almost all of the content requirements were met. Almost all parts are equal.	Sufficient Most of the content requirements were met. One or two students carry the conversation.	Poor Many content requirements were not met.
Vocabulary	Excellent Utilizes a wide variety of vocabulary from current and previously learned units. Takes risks and tries to expand length of sentences.	Good Utilizes a variety of vocabulary and sentences are rather short.	Sufficient Utilizes limited or minimal vocabulary expressions and sentences are short.	Poor Utilizes limited vocabulary, some of which is inaccurate or irrelevant to the task.
Pronunciation	Excellent Perfect or nearly perfect French pronunciation. Effort is evident.	Good Good French pronunciation, but a few words are mispronounced. Good effort.	Sufficient Several French words are mispronounced. More effort needed.	Poor More than half of French words are mispronounced. Lack of effort. Students are not taking the presentation seriously.
Preparedness	Excellent Group is completely prepared and has obviously rehearsed. Most lines were somewhat memorized which added to the authenticity of the script.	Good Group is quite prepared but may have needed a couple more rehearsals. Students knew their lines well, but needed to look at script.	Sufficient The group is somewhat prepared, but it is clear that rehearsal was lacking. Students often looking at script.	Poor Group does not seem at all prepared to present. Presentation inauthentic and unprofessional.
Use of Time	Excellent Students used class time wisely and was on task.	Good Student was on task most of the time but needed to be redirected.	Sufficient Student was frequently off task during class.	Poor Student was not on task during class.
