Tape One Transcript & Personal Assessment Students will tape themselves conducting a ten minute interview based upon their assigned case study with a fellow student. Students will complete a transcript and personal assessment of their demonstration of the skills in Chapters 1-3 of the text. Attending/Listening Skills	Poor Student demonstrated less than three of the six attending/listening skills in his/her tape.	Fair Student demonstrated at least three of the six attending/listening skills but did not show at least five of the skills in the tape.	Good Student demonstrated at least five of the following skills in his/her tape: eye contact, vocal warmth and interest, verbal tracking, attentive/authentic body language, navigating client away from irrelevant topics, and appropriate use of silence.
Informed Consent	Poor Student demonstrated less than two aspects of informed consent in his/her tape.	Fair Student demonstrated at least two of the aspects of informed consent but not all of the aspects in his/her tape.	Good Student reviewed all of the following aspects of informed consent: permission to tape, purpose of the interview, supervision, and limitations regarding maintaining confidentiality in his/her tape.
Multicultural Lens	Poor Student did not mention cultural differences/experiences with the "client."	Fair Student mentioned cultural differences/experiences with the "client" but did not connect culture to the presenting problem/situation.	Good Student discussed cultural differences with "client" & explored the impact and relevance of culture on the situation/concern of the "client"
Wellness Assessment	Poor Student demonstrated a lack of knowledge of the Wellness Assessment and/or incorporated less than two dimensions of the self in the interview.	Fair Student demonstrated awareness of the Wellness Assessment and incorporated at least two of the dimensions of self in the interview.	Good Student demonstrated knowledge of the Five Dimensions of Self in the Wellness Assessment and incorporated at least four of these dimensions into the interview with the "client."
Personal Assessment/Transcript	Poor Student did not turn in a complete transcript, tape, AND a personal assessment.	Fair Student turned in a complete transcript with the tape but did not identify both aspects of the personal assessment.	Good Student turned in complete transcript with the tape, complete with a personal assessment of skills demonstrated in the interview and areas of improvement in the interview based upon Chapters 1-4.
