Content	EXCELLENT The entries demonstrate an understanding of the purpose of an art journal. the responses show deep insight. All ideas are related to topics and explained well.	GOOD The student has demonstrated a basic understanding of the purpose of keeping an art journal. An attempt at thought process is demonstrated	FAIR The student has demonstrated some understanding of the purpose of keeping an art journal but not yet demonstrated a full understanding. Some attempt at thougth process is demonstrated.	POOR The student has not demonstrated an understanding of the purpose of keeping an art journal. some attempt has been made but thought process has not been demonstrated.
Creativity/own art	EXCELLENT The student has demonstrated thought process/theme building/ideas/technique	GOOD The student has demonstrated a basic use of thought process/ theme building/ideas/technique	FAIR The student has demonstrated the use of some elements of thought process/theme building/ideas and technique but needs more work to demonstrate full understanding	POOR The student has not demonstrated the use of thought process/theme/building/ideas and technique in the journal
