	Poor D = 60-69 F = 59 or lower 17 pts	Fair C = 70 - 79 19 pts	Good B = 80 - 89 22 pts	Excellent A = 100 - 90 25 pts
Paragraph Development	Poor Text has limited organization and written weakly.	Fair Text is organized with simple ideas. Writing is very weak.	Good Text is well organized, but a little weak in the writing.	Excellent Text is well organized and well written.
5 Explanation Questions	Poor Only 1 or no explanation questions are answered.	Fair Only 2- 3 explanation questions are answered.	Good Only 4 explanation questions are answered.	Excellent All 5 explanation questions are answered thoroughly and concisely with text that conveys a clear message.
Grammar/punctuation/spelling	Poor There are 6 or more errors in grammar, punctuation,and spelling.	Fair There are 4-5 errors in grammar, punctuation,and spelling.	Good There are 1-3 errors in grammar, punctuation,and spelling.	Excellent There are no errors in grammar, punctuation,and spelling.
