India Ink Line Design - 60x2 Points
Teacher applies 50 cent size drop of india ink near the center of 12x18 white tag board with approx. five (5) legs. Students use soda straw to properly blow the ink easily in to all directions. Allow ink to dry overnight and use the rest of the class time creating balanced patterns / designs for this project. Using colored markers, students make line designs inside the areas made by the blown lines. Repetition of shapes to form line patterns can also be used to fill in these areas. A line can be achieved by a row of shapes as well as a solid line. Do not leave large white areas between your lines. Repeat each pattern at least three (3) times so your design stays in balance.
