Spanish Restaurant Skit 
In groups of 4-6 students create a skit that takes place in Mexico in a restaurant of their choosing. Students must create a menu, use props which may include food to authenticate their script. Lines should be memorized.

All of the content requirements were met. Each student has a minimum of 4-5 lines with no grammatical errors.

Speaks clearly and distinctly most of the time with no more than one unnatural pause or distraction. Most lines were not memorized taking away from the authencity of the script.
Does Not Meet Standard

Often mumbles and cannot be understood OR has multiple distractions and unnatural pauses. NO lines were memorized making the script seem unreal.
Preparedness

Exceeds Standard

Group is completely prepared and has obviously rehearsed.
All lines were memorized which added to the authenticity of the script.
Meets Standard

Group seems pretty prepared but might have needed a couple more rehearsals. Most lines were memorized which added to the authencity of the script.
Emerging Standard

The group is somewhat prepared, but it is clear that rehearsal was lacking.
Most lines were memorized which added to the authencity of the script.
Does Not Meet Standard

Group does not seem at all prepared to present. Most lines were memorized which added to the authencity of the script.
Props, Menu & Food Items

Exceeds Standard

Each member provides a prop. Scene is very clearly set and obvious. Menu is original, clear, creative and concise. Real Food is used to authenticate the script.
Meets Standard

Some props are used. The scene is mostly set. No extras. Menu is somewhat creative, not very original. Pics or/ fake food were used to help authenticate the script.
Emerging Standard

Not many props are used which causes difficulty for staging the scene. More props would improve presentation. Menu is not very pleasing. An attempt was made by using gestures indicating food was present.
Does Not Meet Standard

No props, menu, etc.
No indication at all the food was present.
