Ceramic Box Art Assessment for General Project Production This rubric properly evaluates the artistic process. 	Extraordinary 8 to 10 points (N/A)	Satisfactory 5 to 7 points (N/A)	Needs Improvement 2 to 4 points (N/A)
Process & Concepts 10 pts Level of understanding about instructions and concepts (elements and principles of art) used in project.	Extraordinary Box is 100% square, has straight sides, and level top. Sides are the same thickness. Flange is attached to two opposite sides. Box is the required size.	Satisfactory Box is not quite square. Had to trim sides to make them fit together.	Needs Improvement Box is rectangle instead of square. Sides are different thicknesses. Box is smaller than required.
Craftsmanship 10 pts Project shows outstanding craftsmanship with attention to detail.	Extraordinary All seams were zipped and coiled. Lid fits. Well polished. No seams showing. Glaze evenly applied.	Satisfactory Seams showing. Lid is too loose or too tight. Glaze applied unevenly.	Needs Improvement No zipping and coiling evident. Lid doesn't fit at all. Glaze is poorly applied .
Creativity & Originality 10 pts Expression of ideas and imagination portrayed in the project.	Extraordinary Design demonstrates original personal expession. Design is part of lid.	Satisfactory Simple design does not show much thought.	Needs Improvement Design shows a rush to finish.
