Student did not follow directions, is incomplete, or there are significant errors in more than one place.
Poor:
Report is mostly incomplete, difficult to understand, has errors.

Excellent:
answers each step of the scientific method completely and accurately.
Good:
Group answers each step of the scientific method fairly well and accurately.
Fair:
Group partially answers each step of the scientific method, with some inaccurate details.
Poor:
Required work is incomplete and inaccurate.
Graph/Diagram
Excellent:
Graph/diagram relates to project, represents data correctly, and is labeled properly.
Good:
The student has a graph/diagram but one or two elements are missing/ incorrect.
Fair:
The student has a graph/diagrambut 3 or more elements are missing/ incorrect.
Poor:
The student does not have a graph/diagram.
Presentation
Excellent:
The writer can explain their scientific thinking and it makes sense.
Good:
The writer can explain their scientific thinking but it doesn't exactly fit with the purpose.
Fair:
The writer can partially explain their scientific thinking. The explanation doesn't fit the purpose.
Poor:
The writer didn't really understand the purpose or explain their scientific thinking.
