Poor

Stick figures, head feet. Does not contain a person. Lines used for arms or legs.
Fair

Used separate ovals, circles,,,and rectangles to create shape
Good

Starting to make clothing separate shapes. Skirts flare out from legs. Detail is more important than proportion. There is an attempt to draw clothes but the basic shapes ae still visible. Usually drawn without short light strokes. Profiles may have just a nose added to the oval. Eyes may be near the top of the head.
Excellent

Basic shapes used for drawing people have disappeared. Uses short light strokes to shape outline-legs have calves not rectangular The face and body are extremely close to proportions in real lifefor both face and body. Profiles have lines that follow the silhouette of nose and lips.

Perspective
20 pts

Conceptual level for the use of space.

Poor

No baseline is used.
Fair

One baseline is used for the sky and another is used for the ground. Used space poorly-person way too small to create details. Everything may be clumped at bottom and top and middle may be empty.
Good

The concept of a horizon line is used-the earth and sky touch and are not considered 2 separate lines. Ideas like high=far, low= close and overlap are starting to be used. Space is used reasonably well. Objects are big enough for added detail and well spaced on the page.
Excellent

The same as 3 but high=small=far and low=big=close. Backs of bodies may be shown. There may be an attempt to use lines to create 3-D shapes.Uses space well whole page is planned out and filled.
