Dice Welding Project Dice Welding Project This project will show the students ability to weld by creating metal dice out of scrap metal. Rubric Code: Q857CB By tikan22 Ready to use Public Rubric Subject: Vocational Type: Project Grade Levels: 9-12

Welding Dice
	Poor 1 pts	Fair 5 pts	Good 10 pts
Squareness	Poor The joints of the dice are not square, either greater than 100 degrees or less than 80 degrees.	Fair The joints of the dice are in between 95 degrees and 100 degrees, or 85 degrees and 80 degrees.	Good The joints are 90 degrees at each joint.
Roundness of dot holes	Poor The dots are not round, closer to square or squiggly lines.	Fair The dots have a roundness, but more oval than circle.	Good The dots are perfectly round, not weld slashes either.
Appearance of Dice	Poor The dice's overall look is very slopply, no grinding has been done, or grinding is very sloppy.	Fair The dice's appearance is somewhat sloppy. Grinding has been done but is incomplete, or over ground.	Good The dice's overall appearance is excellent. Grinding has been done well, and looks nice.
Strength	Poor The welds are not strong. The dice break under the step test.	Fair The weld is somewhat strong.The dice bend under the step test.	Good The welds are strong. Stays in shape and together under the step test.
Safety	Poor Student did not practice any of the safety practices taught during the course.	Fair Student practiced some of the welding practices taught during the course.	Good The Student practiced all of the safety practices taught during the course
