Safety	Poor Area was full of danger to the children. Equipment not checked for safety. Activities were unsafe to children.	good Activities were assumed safe- although no thorough checking done. Quick scan of area for dangers to students and teacher. No checking of equipment/ none used.	excellent Area was thouroughly checked before lesson and made free from danger. Equipment was checked and fixed for safety.
Organisation	Poor No lesson thought/ planning done. No understanding of the correct flow of the lesson. Unclear direction of lesson.	good Some thought/ planning went into the lesson. However, no research of techniques being taught. Some understanding about what students were meant to be doing. Didn't get all activities done.	excellent Comprehensive lesson planned and taught. Researched activities which were to be taught. Checked activities in relation to VELS. Excellent time management.

Key instructions	Poor Poor instructions given to the students-leading to incorrect technique used. Didn't ask for confirmation of understanding from students. Language too complex for students.	good Instructions given which some students easily followed. However, some didn't follow and therefore didnt conduct activity properly. Language varied through appropriateness. Sometimes language was appropriate other times too complex.	excellent Concise instructions given to the students which were easily followed. Smile and Success	Poor Students didn't have much fun and weren't engaged. Not all students got a chance to practice technique or be envolved.	good Most of the time students seemed to be having fun.
