PowerPoint Presentation Rubric 10 Minute
This rubric is meant to help guide in the creation of your PowerPoint presentation project. Each category in the far left column represents a component of the project that will be taken into consideration when composing the final grade for this assignment. Review the rubric carefully before, during and after the creation of the PowerPoint presentation, to ensure that all intended elements of your destination have been represented and all other criteria have been met.

Graphics/Use of Media

Slides are attractive. Text is legible. No grammatical errors. Graphics and effects are used throughout to enhance presentation. Information is at the advanced level and consistently supports images. Uses other technology into slides to enhance materials

Slides are attractive. Text is legible. No grammatical errors. More than half of the slides use graphics and effects to enhance presentation. Information adequately supports images. Some use of media.
Fair
Slides are legible. Amount of text is too great for the amount of space provided. Some grammatical errors. Less than half the slides have graphics or effects. Information supports images at times. Minimal use of media.
Poor
The slides are not legible. The amount of text is too great for the space provided. There are several grammatical errors. There is little use of graphics or effects. The information does not consistently support images. No evidence of media used to enhance the materials of slides.

The presentation is well coordinated. All material is presented using language that is original. Speaker is well informed and elaborates beyond the displayed material.

The presentation is well coordinated. Most material is presented in new form and not as it is written on the screen.

The presenters make minimal eye contact with the audience. Everything is read directly from the screen or page.
Poor
The presenters make no contact with the audience. Everything is read directly from the screen of page.
Knowledge/ Team work
Excellent
Speaker is well informed and elaborates beyond the displayed material.

Speaker is well informed and elaborates a bit beyond the material displayed.

Speaker brings little knowledge to the presentation beyond what is displayed

Speaker simply reads the material displayed.
Involvment of Class
Excellent
Presentation thoroughly involves class through group presentation of materials and/or activities. AND holds the attention of the class throughout delivery of topic content.
Very Good
Some class involvement. AND some maintenance of class attention through topic presentation.
Fair
Minimal class involvement. AND minimal maintenance of attention for duration of presentation.
Poor
Presentation does not involve class in any capacity nor maintain their attention.
Voice/Delivery
Excellent
Speaker presents in a loud and clear voice and does not read from sheets

Speaker presents in a loud and clear voice but constantly turns to the screen

Speakers presents in a voice that is sometimes clear but constantly refers to the presentation

Time Usage

Presentation meets the 10 minute time requirement.
Very Good
Presentation is 1-2 minutes under the 10 minute time requirement.
Fair
Presentation is 3-4 minutes under the 10 minute time requirement.
Poor
Presentation is 5 or more minutes or more under the 10 minute time requirement.
Overall Presentation grade
Excellent
All required criterion is met and goes above and beyond instructor expectations of presentation.
Very Good
Some required criterion is met. And meets some instructor expectations.
Fair
Minimal criterion and instructor expectations met.
Poor
Lack of required criterion adherence and instructor expectations not met at all.
