Research 2-3 page research project on career of their choice.	Failure No research topic on career choice. No evidence of research.	Average Did some research and located a career topic but never completed the paper. Partial completion.	Excellent Completed report with references and employer. Career report with excellent grammar and spelling that indicated time and effort.
Interview employer Located employer in the community for what skills they desire in potential hires.	Failure No search for employer. Did not use school computers or attend events to locate potential employer.	Average Did use computers and made phone contact but did not secure meeting with an employer.	Excellent Located and conducted interview with employer and followed with a thank you note.
Complete a resume Completed a resume and uploaded to online job website.	Failure Did not start or complete a resume. No research on employment websites. Does not know how to upload a resume to the web.	Average Created a partial resume. Incomplete resume and did not upload to employment websites.	Excellent Complete resume and uploaded to employment website and is viewable by potential employers. Uploaded to various websites.
