Wire Sculpture- Shoe Wire Sculpture; 7th Grade Project Students will create a sculpture using wire and considering proportion of a shoe. Rubric Code: Q49W2C By jennifernoelsco Ready to use Public Rubric Subject: Arts and Design Type: Project Grade Levels: 9-12

Wire Sculpture
	Level 1 Poor 10 pts	Level 2 Fair 15 pts	Level 3 Good 20 pts	Level 4 Excellent 25 pts
Craftsmanship ~Sculpting the contour and volume of the figure in correctly.	Level 1 The student attempted to sculpt the shoe but gave up as soon as it challenged them. The student seldom asked for help.	Level 2 The student asked for help when finding something difficult, but kept trying. Wire closures needed to be tighter.	Level 3 The student asked for help and responded well to suggestions. Some wire closures needed more attention.	Level 4 The student asked questions and showed their understanding in the work. All closures are done well.
Attention to Proportion ~Considering proportion to the figure.	Level 1 *Proportion was considered for the drawings, but was not followed through in the sculpture.	Level 2 *Consideration to proportion is visible, but not always accurate.	Level 3 *Proportions are pretty accurate, but may not have been followed through completely.	Level 4 *The proportions are outstanding- a true resemblance to a shoe.
Completion ~Took time to complete the task	Level 1 *The student did not finish the work in a satisfactory manner.	Level 2 *The student finished the project but it lacked finished touches. The project could be improved upon with little effort.	Level 3 *The student completed the project in an above average manner, yet more could have been done.	Level 4 *The student gave an effort far beyond the requirements of the project.
Creativity ~Student thought outside the box	Level 1 *Very little creativity shown.	Level 2 *Some creativity shown.	Level 3 *Creativity shown, but more was possible.	Level 4 *Presentation of shoe was very creative.
